Winamp [Key]Controller is general purpose plug-in for Winamp v2.xx. Its main purpose where to provide system wide hotkeys to control Winamp, but since then has also a few other features been included. Features "System wide hotkeys" Well, this is the main purpose with the plug-in. To let you associate different key combinations (hotkeys) to control Winamp without the need to bring Winamp into focus. There are currently over 70 commands you can choose from to control Winamp. A list of all available commands and descriptions can be found here in the documentation. "Resume feature" The resume feature will make Winamp remember what song you played last time you where using Winamp and then continue where it last left off. It is even possible to make it remember where in the song it where last time and then continue from there. "Automatically save Playlist and ..." You can also configure the plug-in to save the playlist and EQ data at a specific time interval. This stuff is normally saved by Winamp when it exit, but all this data will be lost if Winamp or Windows crashes. "Diskwrite options" This one is quite handy if you are uses the diskwrite output plug-in in Winamp (e.g. write your songs to .wav files before burning an audio-cds). A rectangle will flash around Winamp's main window when you have this option enabled and the diskwrite output plug-in active. A useful feature if you keep forgetting to change back plug-in when you're done with the .wav writing. |
