Software Description

Napster is a protocol for sharing files between users. With Napster, the files stay on the client machine, never passing through the server. The server provides the ability to search for particular files and initiate a direct transfer between the clients. In addition, chat forums similar to IRC are available. OpenNap extends the Napster protocol to allow sharing of any media type, and the ability to link servers together.

opennap is a server for connecting the clients together, and is not a client itself.

Ziggynap / Fastweb Italia - IONN (OpenNap)

Just wanted to say that ZiggyNap and FastWeb Italia have paired back up for good (I hope), and that it has made us a little over the highest OpenNap network.

Plus, with the Fastweb Italia users, you can get speeds like 1gb/s (with multi-sourcing in Lopster/WinLop) since they have like 12mbit dsl's and 10mbit FTTH's.

We also have some future plans for becoming IONN, details later :P

There is a problem in instalation

I am not able to install OpenNap from the downloaded zip file. There is a missing dll file viz. 'ZLIB.DLL'
Pls. help me out to install it.

try to d/l the Opennap .36 coz it got the necessary file 'Zlib.dll'...if not try to go to morgoth.net for assistance
