error in installation

Running Win98nt
During installation at 49% done a window pops up saying "error" New MFC 6.2 Runtime 1.
Installation stops.
I deleted the download and downloaded from another site and the same thin happened again.
What happened?
I have the older version 113 existing on my computer already.
I just wanted to upgrade.
