I used QuickTime 5 Pro. I opened the AIFF file in Movie Player, then went to File -> Export and chose Sound to WAV. There's also an Options button on the side where you can choose your sampling rate (44.1 kHz), bit resolution (16-bit), mono or stereo, and compression scheme (I chose None). Then you choose the directory you want to save the WAV file (like any other file) and click OK. It made the export and kept the original AIFF, and the WAV played fine in Movie Player. One thing QuickTime did bothered me, though. When I opened the WAV in Movie Player and went to Get Movie Properties, I went to Sound Track and it said "44.100 kHz, 16-bit, stereo," but it also said "Compression: 16-bit Little Endian". I chose "None" for the compression scheme when I exported it. Why is it giving the WAV file that compression scheme behind my back?
