beat counter - update id3 v2.3 BPM?

I have been using the Cubic Carrot Beat Counter, and it updates the comment field in the id3 v1 tag, but I cannot get it to update the id3 v2.3 BPM tag that I need to view the info from itunes for my ipod. Can anyone help?
