This advanced encoder converts PCM files (including standard .wav files) and stores them in MP3 and compressed WAV audio formats. Once audio files are encoded, they may be used for local playback, or they may be stored on any web server for download or real-time streaming. To listen, our free Audioactive player or any of the myriad of free and shareware players that support MP3 files can be used.

The powerful encoding engine encodes two times faster than real-time on a Pentium 166MHz at 16kbps. As a professional tool for encoding audio to MP3, it converts to a wide range of bitrates: 256, 192, 160, 128, 112, 96, 64, 56, 48, 32, 24, 20, 18, 16, 8kbps. Can’t decide? The preview function allows you to listen to the audio sampled at the specified compression rate prior to encoding. This feature is particularly useful when utilizing the batch encoding capability. Drag and drop the files to automatically add them to the encoding list. Selected encoding properties can be applied individually or to entire file groups.
