Software Description

Ultimate Encoder is a high quality MPEG Audio encoder & decoder with integrated CD-Grabber and CD Player, supports MPEG Layer 1, 2 and 3, it takes as input Windows PCM .WAV files or Direct CDA tracks, and encodes them to MPEG files which can be played with WinAmp. It also has a built-in decoder which decodes the Audio MPEG files Layer 1, 2 and 3 to Windows PCM Wav files.

  • Supports Encoding of 44KHz, 16bit Stereo WAVE files, and Direct CDAudio encoding, by reading RAW audio data from the CD-Audio, so you don't need a CD-Grabber anymore

  • Supports Encoding & Decoding MPEG Audio Layer 1, 2 and 3 with custom bitrates from 16Kbs to 320Kbs
  • WMA (Windows Media Audio) encoding support from 6.5Kbps to 192Kbps
  • Ultimate Encoder delivers the highest quality possible supported by MPEG, we don't sacrifice the quality for speed as other encoders do.
  • It has an integrated CD-Grabber and a CD-Player. The CD-Grabber from Ultimate Encoder supports saving of Windows WAV files or automatically encode them
  • Automatic rename of output (MP3 and WMA) file names to match CD track titles
  • CD track names recognition through Internet FreeDB
  • Supports a wide range of CD-ROM drives, from FUNAI, BTC, SONY, TOSHIBA, MITSUMI, PANASONIC, etc. (IDE, E-IDE or SCSI).

    • Ultimate Encoder has now a new graphical user interface which makes it the most easy to use MP3 encoder.
    • A completly new CD Grabber which supports almost any CD/DVD-ROM drive, including SCSI drives.
    • Fixed the CD-ROM drive auto-selection which caused a CD Grabbing error.
    • Added two levels of audio correction to CD-Audio grabbing: jitter error correction and CD scratch repair.
    • Corrected the beginning sound click heard in some MP3 files.
    • Ultimate Encoder now works with E-IDE DVD/CD-ROM drives even without the WINASPI driver (only on Windows 2000 or XP).
    • Added a local CD database cache.
    • Now you can encode a CD-Audio to MP3 or WMA faster than ever!, Ultimate Encoder now pre-reads Audio CD tracks while encoding.
    • The CD-Grabbing popup window won't bother you anymore, because the CD-Grabbing progress was integrated in the encoding progress window.
    • Added Support for variable bitrate (VBR/ABR/MTRH) MP3 audio encoding/decoding.
    • Now you can choose between 9 levels of encoding speed vs. quality and another 9 levels for the variable bitrate quality.
    • Added Line-In / Microphone live recording to WMA or MP3 compressed audio files.
    • Added a WMA (Windows Media Audio V8) to WAV (Windows PCM WAVE) decoder.
    • Added Video encoding support, now you can encode Microsoft AVI, ASF, MPEG-1 and MPEG-4 files to WMV (Windows Media Video V8) files.
    • Added Video capture support, which lets you encode WMV (Windows Media Video V8) files directly from any Video capture device, even if you don't have a video capture device you can capture the entire windows screen and record to WMV files.
