I personally recommend iMation, FujiFilm, and Sony brand CD-R's for all your burning needs.

As far as Music CD-R vs normal CD-R, there is absolutely no difference. There is only some kind of property or tag on Music CD-R's that allows standalone (stereo component) CD recorders to use them, whereas they do not support normal CD-R's. The reason for this is the royalties paid to the RIAA and other organizations which result in the higher price of Music Cd-R's.

In other words, you're just paying more for a Music CD-R to line the pockets of the industry, or to copy your music somewhat more legally than normally.
