getting started...Help! MP3u.com?

I am having trouble...I just bought a CD burner and I've been trying to download music for hours and have come up with nothing. I joined mp3u.com and can't download Kazaa Lite. So it was a waste of time! Now I'm looking for somewhere else.. I am new at this and very confused. Can anyone help?
