Erased the contents of my iTunes but iPod is intact

am going crazy. I have all my songs, videos, etc on my iPod but I accidentally deleted all my media from iTunes.

I have been trying to copy all the media I have on the iPod into iTunes, unsuccessfully. I have not found a single line of help that explains how to do that... It seems that all copying always goes from iTunes to the iPod.

Help!!! I really need to be able to restore the contents of my iPod onto iTunes.
