Problem solved. Someone else (somewhere else, obviously), who had had similar problems, suggested I needed to recreate Morpheus folders and then delete them. Didn't quite understand that. But the site he directed me to, with all sorts of stuff in it, some which I've used already, like BHOcop, also had a nifty little prog that cleans the Morpheus out of my registry. Come to think of it, I should have checked to see that that worked, since there was no progress bar or messages that indicated it had. But my problem is solved anyway.
I had uninstalled Morpheus, the only file sharing 'program' I have ever used, prior to downloading/installing Kazaa, which is otherwise identical to it. But it wasn't all gone. You could see a folder on my desktop and in my Windows Explorer. A few times I tried to delete the folder from my Windows Explorer. I couldn't. I'm so used to not being able to delete stuff, that I don't know when it's hard or easy. But I had nothing else to do, so I tried again, later, just as I was about to abandon Kazaa, and it worked.
Strangely though, even after using the registry cleanup prog, it poppped back into my computer. Yikes! I tried again one last time, after uninstalling and re-installing Kazaa, and running Ad Aware etc.. Again, I was able to delete it, but this time it stayed deleted. And my files are no longer getting 'stated' twice when I look into my Kazaa 'my files' window. And Kazaa Lite is working fine.
Onward and upward - until the capitalists smash or take over everything.
