I dont get a display only light but it still plays.Try this uninstall drivers etc reboot your computer re install drivers etc reboot computer then plug usb into computer then plug in the player. you should get the green arrow icon in bottom right of screen, try and get into the disk format program this is hard enough but if you can give it a low format which takes bout ten minutes.it should be in reasonable working order from there on!Good luck!!!
