I bought the jukebox plus.... It was only like $15 for a year of service..... I have the key to my original purchase.... I wonder if that will work if I download the basic jukebox.... Well, let me try sending them a "techie" email.... who knows, they may answer with understandable language for this newbie to computers! Thank you for your help and suggestions.... it's much appreciated! : (Originally posted 01:13:37 11/01/05)
: MMJB comes in a "Basic' (free) JB,and a MMJB PLUS (I bought 5 years ago for $25?) which gave me : CD Burner-Equalizer-Optional Skins and at the time I was told a lifetime of all updates. To obtain them I could (or you can) download a "Basic" (free) MMJB. : After doing so go under the "Help" section and enter your "Key Code."This allows all the options that make the MMJB one of the best JB sold. : That said, the company is not %100 straightforward.Example;what is the difference between MMJB Plus and an "Ugrade"? : For my money without the DFX Sound Enhancement the MMJB is worth 'zip'! However I paid $45 4-5 years ago and use both today in preference to any other product.I stashed downloads of the original software(unused) and am currently using MMJB 9.0 My first was 6.1.I don't think the 9,0 is better than the 6.0 except that if I want to PAY AGAIN to UPGRADE I would get a faster CD Burner.Well it doesnt matter how fast the software is if your CD-R/RW isn't that fast.I was given the PLUS for 2 CD Burns. No : thing makes me believe the MMJB is any better than when I first got it.Trouble is now they make it difficult to download the older players. The DFX is very different in looks(like the MMJB) but I don't believe : it's same priced tecnology is a bit better if diferent at all. : So.You can d'load a MMJB anytime for free-but you must pay for a" key code" to enter into it to get the gods going.DFX is available for a two week trial-than you must pay for the real deal. You cab find it under "View"/Sound/Select Enhancements. : Getting help from MM is ----tedious-at best.Having said all this I wouldn't swap my MM for any other player I've tried -yet.$45 for a lot of CD s made and still to be made. All this on a Pentium II 350 Mhz w/256 MB RAM and an External 160 GB HD for music. It can all burn as long as I grab my removable External Hard Drive (or the original MP3 : downloads I obtained in that window of legality). : They are not smarter than you-it's a game in which they(many 'experts) get us to believe that they : have 'secret or special information/technology' and to obtain quality service we need to hire them or buy their 'new improved, super fast and boomerang throwing' kitchen knife or were 'out of touch'.Maybe worse;'Uncool!' Well it is a crock of ..yesteday's lunch..it won't feeed you or me today because it lacks anything nutritious... : Hope I have helped.......at your sevice(?) CWC
