| Comp always slows down in the middle of a recording... |

Posted by Moonside on February 25, 2002 at 18:18:54: I have a pretty decent one, a P3 667 MHz. So it's not really my comp right? I don't have a great sound card, so if anyone thinks that's it, please tell me. But for whatever reason, my comp always slows down in the middle while I'm recording, from line in or otherwise. It runs smoothly then stops for a moment while it's encoding or recording. Any ideas on this? I make sure nothing else is running, I have a lot of free ram and my comp is doing nothing else yet it still happens. I've used LP Ripper/Recorder and that has been quite good but I still get these problems sometimes. Anybody who has run in to this, I'd like to hear your opinions. Thanks for your time.
