Video podcasts not supported?

I download video podcasts off of iTunes. They show up in the iTouch tab under Podcasts, but when I click the "sync" button, it gives me an error message and won't sync the video. I've tried manually dragging the videos to the touch and get the same error. Why would video podcasts not be supported?
