Message:	: : : : : : : : I gather that until recently, one could convert Audible.com download files (.aa extension) to MP3 by simply opening the file in Goldwave and then doing a save-as to create an MP3. : : : : Apparently, Goldwave would use the Audible Codec to open the file. Anyone that has signed up with Audible has the Codec since it is part of the Audible Manager software. : : : : I gather now that the latest version of Audible Manager has changed something (the codec?) and Goldwave can no longer open the .aa files. Instead you get a status dialog in Goldwave that says: "Deflashing..." with a % complete indicator. The % complete increases until reaching 99% and then freezes. : : : : I know that there are processes to use the CD Burning process in Audible Manager to capture .WAV files which can be converted to MP3, but I would lke to find a method for direct conversion. The .WAV method is flow and annoying even if you don't actually write CDs. : : : : If anyone is still doing conversions with Goldwave, what codec are you using for the .aa files (date, version)? Or have you found another conversion method? : : : : BTW, Audible.com is great. I just want the music in a different format.
