| break in mixed dj cd's |

Recently, I got an mp3 player so I decided to transfer some mixes to it, but have found that there is a slight break between each track, although the dj has mixed them together. I'm sure there is something really silly I'm not doing in my windows media player or realplayer. Or do I need to go out and get a commercial program. Thanks in advance.
