 Playlist Trouble
Posted by Frustrated on May 01, 2008 at 23:46:28:

I have a Philips GoGear SA1100 MP3 Player, and it isn't sorting my playlist in the way that I want it to. I know that this type of MP3 player sorts songs in alphabetical order, so to get around that I titled all of my songs like this: Song 1 - Title, Song 2 - Title, Song 3 - Title, etc. I assumed that it would play the songs in order by how they're numbered, but it still has them out of order!

I then found out that since I ripped my songs from three different CD's, the MP3 player is playing the songs in the order they were originally on the CD's, even though I changed the track listings to correspond to the order I wanted to (so the song I wanted to play first on my MP3 player could be the fifth song on the CD, so the MP3 player plays it fifth instead of first, even though I changed it to be the first song!)

Does anyone know how I can get my MP3 player to play the songs in the order that I want them to? I tried making all the songs have a track listing of zero, and erased the titles of the CD's that the songs came from.
