Any MP3 players are 'flash drives' any way. Just because they are a solid state disk. Even though the player says that it can hold around 80 songs. It actually depends on each songs size. If each song is 12.8MB (quite big for an MP3) then you can only fit 40 songs on the player.

However the problem(s) could be caused by other things.
Because I dont know what the problem is exactly, it's difficult to give any good help.

>1. The player was brought 2nd hand. And poorly treated by the previous owner.

>2. It is a mechanical defect, and if the warranty hasn't run out and there is still a proof of purchase. Then the player can be sent back to the manufacturer for a replacement.

>3. You (or the previous owner (if one)) has left the player near/next to a magnetic device.
Mobile phone, Electromagnetic field. Thus corruption of the solid state disk has taken place. (This is NOT a mechanical defect. And the manufacturers will spot this immeditley.)

Hope this helps:D
