iTunes to MD (mac)

A friend of mine recently gave me the Sony MD MZ-R70 with the digital pc link connector. He works on a PC platform and I'm on a Mac so he couldn't really help me with my issue. My question is how can I record stuff (albums/dj sets) from Itunes (Mac) to the MD? With a blank disc in it says "Sync / Rec" and flashes "NO SIGNAL".

Please help.
