winmx primary connection confusion.

jus got cable and able to use primary connection, but my dl & ul speeds are slower. Plus what does p= s= spm mean? the number after spm is always changing. futhermore winmx tells me I'm unable to reciece UDP packets. When i was on dialup i configured the 6699 & 6257 ports and did the same for cable
