Is the copy on CD an MP3 file, or a track on a music-CD?

If it's the former, just copy it to your hard drive.

If it's the latter, you will need a "CD ripper" program and an "MP3 encoder" to copy the track you want from the CD and turn it into an MP3.

I suggest you try this copy of CDex, which I have packaged along with the LAME MP3 encoder.

: OK. I know nothing. I need to transfer a 6 minute piece of audio which is currently on mini disc and CD, into MP3. This is so I can email it to people. I havent got the foggiest as to where to even start with this!!!!
