 iPod: Advice Required!
Posted by Chris on June 26, 2004 at 10:37:02:

Hi all,

I was considering getting an iPod until I started buying CDs with this damned "Copy Control" on; now when I try to copy any music there's an intermittent 'click' all the way through the song (due to the compression on the CD I presume).

Anyway, I was wondering if the iPod comes with any software that allows conversion of a CD to AAC or other iPod supported formats without this clicking fault. I know MiniDisc has the OpenMG Jukebox that permits a limited number of check-ins and outs of some CDs, however does iPod have a similar program or facility?

Any help would be much appreciated as I don't want to shell out £300 and not have the quality of music to enjoy it!!

Cheers in advance,

Chris
