Message:	: I've had a Treo for 18 months or so and have been very pleased with it, particularly since installing the new firmware. However, it has recently developed a couple of faults (which : might be related). The first is that from time to time the connection via the earphone socket suddenly becomes unstable and gives a distorted sound. It's possible to cure this, temporarily, by pressing the two sides of the : case together. : The other fault is that sometimes, quite often in fact, any use of the controls - volume, forward etc - produces a loud distorted sound through : speakers. : Any ideas about what I can do?
