 treo 15

I've had a Treo for 18 months or so and have been very pleased with it, particularly since installing the new firmware. However, it has recently developed a couple of faults (which
might be related). The first is that from time to time the connection via the earphone socket suddenly becomes unstable and gives a distorted sound. It's possible to cure this, temporarily, by pressing the two sides of the
case together.

The other fault is that sometimes, quite often in fact, any use of the controls - volume, forward etc - produces a loud distorted sound through
speakers.

Any ideas about what I can do?
