Message:	: To update the firmware you don't have to rename it, just make sure under windows explorer that it is the first file loaded, (i.e. when looking at the players hard drive contents, the file will be in the uppermost left corner of the browser window) Then unplug from Pc and it should do it. It took me awhile since EMI web site has no instructions on flashing new firmware. BTW, mine works better since I flashed. Only bad point is they took away the bitrate info and eq setting view while pressing down in a song.
