Yes, I agree the player does what it does very well. If you want a cheap player for walking or work, this is the one. It will fit into a pair of dress pants pockets, then just wear some ear buds and have fun at work, or on a walk.

For running it is a bit heavy, but it works well on cardio machines at the gym if you have a place to put it, or clip it on your belt.

It is so much cheaper than the expensive options.

I would get something like an IPOD, but only when it becomes a fully functional PDA. Until a company releases a 10GB plus player that also includes full PDA features, I won't buy one of those.

I'm sure it's coming. In the meantime this is great and you can't beat the price.

: I got one of these machines from Tiger Direct in September 03 for $100. It's worked great so far. It's bulky and crudly designed, but as a continual jukebok for work, it can't be beat for the price. In fact it works well enough and is cheap enough, that I can afford to buy one for home also.

: : Just wanted to let people know, that this new product that came out in September(?) SUCKS! So far. There are already two firmware revisions. It is Manufactured by Combined Luck Industries LTD China for EMI Global. (Try finding them on the internet) Power Saving Mode overrides any other activity, you could be pressing buttons and it would still shut down, I hope you dont lose power while transfering files because you'll have a nice handy pocket vibrator. Customer Service is understaffed, There only seller is Circuit City, it's only saving grace is a 9 hour Li-Ion battery, which starts to pop off in a day. A proprietary usb cable connection that you cant find in the US, and only for $200. Merry F'ing Xmass; Slaves of the Profit Machine.

: : The following is a quote from "The Santa Clause" starring Tim Allen and Judge Rheinhold.

: : Scene: Executive Boardroom for the Presentation of the new kid's toy product "Total Tank"
: : Mr Allen: (Exasperated)
: : "Now that we have opened this box. Have any of you ever tried to build the Total Tank? It's got 10,000 parts, and even if you do get it together, it breaks ten minutes later. Then you spend more money just to get new parts.

: : Corporate Presentator: (As a matter of factly)
: : "Well, isn't that the point?"

: : personal comment on the above diologue,
: : "and you get to feel like crap too"
