Get Winamp 5 from www.winamp.com Delete Winamp's WMA input plug-in (IN_WM.DLL), and add WMA to the list of supported formats for the DirectShow Decoder input plug-in. Set up the Output plug-in as Disk Writer (rather than WaveOut or DirectSound) and choose an output directory for Disk Writer to decode the files to. Then load and play the WMA files. What will happen is that they will play without sound, because Winamp will be decoding them to WAV rather than playing them. When it's done, don't forget to change the output back to WaveOut or DirectSound. Then, use RazorLame to encode the WAV's into MP3's.
