: : Hello I am having a problem burning a CD for a MP3 player in my friends ford focus. I tried burning it as a Data CD using Nero and tried the UDF/ISO there just basic MP3's and it's a stereo that plays both MP3's and CD-R/RW Any suggestions? From doug: I had the same problem, when i burned mp3 (Nero Express, burn music, mp3, ) from the computer my dvd player ( which is able to play mp3 ) would only play some of the music songs and the others just would show as blank and not play that track, i would skip forward and it would play some others. This is how i made it work: I converted my music mp3 files using a program called musicmatch jukebox ( basic, which is a free download from the internet ) clk file, convert. I made sure that my mp3 files were all mp3 and not mp3pro at this time ( see dropdown menu mp3, wave, mp3pro under the left hand "from" file ), it also would change my mp3 to 44100 kbs ( the clocking rate that the dvd wants ). At this time i also clicked on enhance to normalize the volume, you also can change the files from al lower size such as 96kb to 128, 160 or ? I then burned this new created file with nero as above, With Nero I burned the mp3 at a speed less than 24 times ( I use 8 times, because a retail shop told me that some dvd players have a hard time reading a low volume, quick burn on the cd ). Musicmatch allows you to display file manager file folder tree "from" and "to" so you can have a old mp3 file and a new mp3 converted file. It took me a long while to figure all this but it worked very well.
