I did this when I first set it up but don't remember the exact protocol. Its in the manual. : : My problem is that in moving files back and forth I now get the message "failed to load exe file. I have tried about 20 times to update the machine using the program but it doesn't do anything except tell me to put the device in recovery mode. One post I read said to connect to USB and hold the on button for 10 seconds. The previous post said 20 seconds but neither work. The screen on the MP3 just continues to say " USB connected Int Mem" but nothing happens. : : Go to RCA.Com and download the lastest firmware. You will have to Reformat/Update your player but when you Upload, the songs will be in the order that you upload the songs..
