converting Audible (.aa) files to MP3 with Goldwave

Up until yesterday I was converting my Audible files in the .aa format to MP3s using Goldwave's batch conversion feature. (I have the latest version of lame installed.)

Yesterday (03-06-03), I installed the Audible update and now Goldwave hangs up 99% of the way through the deflashing to disk process.

Any ideas? [Other than don't accept recomended updates from software venders - I think I have learned that one.]
