you don't dance to this sound....there's a groove but it's ther voice and the ideas that come through.....owing alot to New Wave, post punk, retro hippie, reading-makes-you-smart sensibility....somewhere between noam chomsky and david bowie ..... Meeting once a month at vocalist's studio in nyc, all sessions are improvisational with one strict rule - no editting of material after recording. Musicians like the edge, and the vocalists / spokespeople have sense of Here-Now-Once that comes through in the recordings.
